DoorViser
Review policy
Client reviews of real estate agents on DoorViser are free to read, written by people who worked with the agent, and checked before and after they go live. This page says how.
Last updated: October 2026
Who can write a review
Anyone with a DoorViser account who worked with an agent: you bought, sold, rented, leased out, or toured homes with them. One review per agent per person; you can edit or delete yours at any time.
Agents cannot review themselves, anyone in their own office or brokerage, or anyone at their own company. Reviews need a confirmed, permanent email address.
What’s not allowed
A review is removed, or never published, when it is:
- Not a genuine experience
- Conflict of interest (self, family, colleague, competitor)
- Paid or incentivized
- Harassment, hate or threats
- Contains personal or private information
- Not about this agent's real estate service
- Illegal content or legal order
- Duplicate of another review
- About a different agent
Phone numbers, email addresses and street addresses are held back automatically. Being paid, or offered anything, for a review is never allowed, and asking only happy clients for reviews is not allowed either.
How we check reviews
Every review goes through automatic checks for personal data, duplicate or burst activity, and signs that it is not a genuine experience. A review that trips a check is held and looked at by a person, usually within 2 business days. The reviewer is told either way.
Published reviews can be reported by anyone. Three distinct reports put a review back on hold for a look.
Verified client badge
A reviewer can attach proof: a DoorViser transaction with the agent, or a closing statement or lease. DoorViser checks it and, if it matches, the review carries a Verified client badge. Proof is only seen by DoorViser and never shown publicly.
How agents can respond
An agent who has claimed their profile can post one public reply to each review, and edit or remove it. Replies follow the same rules as reviews. Agents cannot hide, edit or reorder reviews.
Disputes
An agent can dispute each review once, with one of the reasons above. The review stays visible with a “Disputed” tag while DoorViser looks at it. Both the agent and the reviewer are told the outcome.
How ratings are calculated and sorted
An agent’s rating is the plain average of their published reviews, shown with the number of reviews beside it. New reviews count toward the average after a short delay, and an agent with fewer than three reviews is marked “New”.
The default order on an agent’s page is verified clients first, then newest. You can sort by newest, highest or lowest instead. “Highest rated” in search lists agents with at least three reviews first.
Paid plans never affect ratings
Nothing an agent or brokerage pays DoorViser changes a rating, a review, a sort order or a badge.
